Camp Bread or Bannocks
Ingredients
300g Bread Flour
6 tbs powdered milk
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
These can all be mixed together into one grip seal bag before the trip.
When ready to cook add enough cold water to make a sticky dough. Don't over do the water. Press the dough into a lightly oiled frying pan to form a layer about 1 inch deep and heat gently until browned and cooked through, turning a few times whilst cooking. The dough will rise as it cooks.
This is good cooked at breakfast time whilst others are breaking camp and it can then be used for lunch.
Other ingredients can be added such as dried fruit or herbs and spices.
